[/size][/blockquote]Paw steps echoed against the empty sewage passage I wandered down. My chestnut coat was darkened by the gloom that passed over my head but I knew exactly where I was headed. Dodging the puddles of dirty water I wandered deeper into the passage ways and further away from the main establishment of underground shops where most dogs hung out. Where the model of the city above, which I had seen a thousand times, stood. I didn't want to take my own lands there though. It was too busy and too easily found. I had to go away from prying eyes, also somewhere where I could hold many females. Humans would probably say I was 'cute' or some stupid word like that. If I ever hear myself being referred to as that then I swear, the individual who spoke it won't even breath another minute. I moved my thoughts away from killing, it would just get me worked up and ready to pounce. The castle, a grand residence for a king. I thought to myself as I proceeded at a faster pace. As long as no one else was there everything would be perfectly fine. Not many people knew about this place though, there wasn't exactly a map of the underground down here. It was all about exploring around you which was something most people where afraid to do. We were all so vulnerable. All we had to do to kill each other was pulling the charms off from around each others neck. The threads were a lot stronger than you would expect, but you could still get them off. It was also like a magnetic force. Two magnets together, you being one magnet and your charm being the other, they both stay together and can sometimes be hard to separate. Still, you could get rid of the charms and the other would die. It wasn't a very fun way of killing someone though. We're here. I suddenly announced it to myself. I was pulled out of my thoughts to gaze at the high walls that stood in front of me and the giant metal door. Quickly and quietly I pressed my weight against it and it creaked open. Inside the walls where stone and had lights attached on, candles forever burning. The once paintings where grimy and it was hard to make out the shapes that where painted there. The castle was empty though, that was the best thing that I realized as I glanced around at the dirty and torn sofas that where still probably quite comfy. Stone steps led up another flight and I quickly jumped up them. Here rooms with beds stood, they must have been grand once but the wood had holes in it where bugs had eaten away the beauty. I clambered up the next set of stairs, empty rooms spread out around me. This would be perfect for a pack and to keep those I wished to lay my torturing gaze upon. I'd been here before of course and explored it in more depth, so I knew the fantastic secrets of this place. Which was why I walked into the room right at the back. There a window stood. The glass was dark and tainted so that no one could see in but anyone could see out. The sun shone down and my golden eyes spied houses that the humans now lived in. The glass was indestructible practically. It wasn't exactly glass though. Bombs could not break through it and invaders could not see through to see the people hidden inside. It was here so that the people in the castle could look out into the outside world.. Though I had better things to do than think about that. This place was now mine. I had a lot of things to do.
